We're pleased to announce that the final route for London Edinburgh London 2025 is now available. Riders will have 128 hours and 19 minutes to complete the Writtle route, and 129 hours and 50 minutes for the London route.
London Edinburgh London is one of the flagship events in the Audax calendar, drawing cyclists from around the world. Held every four years, it’s a non-competitive, self-supported ride from London to Edinburgh and back, to be completed within a 125-hour time limit. It’s not just a test of endurance—it’s an exploration of Britain’s backroads, countryside, and communities.
This year’s route includes a mix of familiar terrain and fresh sections. Riders will once again cross the high, open stretches of Yad Moss, and climb into the Yorkshire Dales and the Southern Uplands of Scotland. We’ve also introduced over 600 km of new roads, including quiet lanes in North Yorkshire and lesser-known scenic routes through the Borders.
We start at Writtle University College in Essex, with a secondary start option in central London’s Guildhall Yard. From there, the route takes in a network of well-placed controls at towns such as Boston, Malton, Richmond, Hawick, and Edinburgh, where riders will find food, rest areas, showers, and mechanical support.
We’ve also added a number of smaller community-supported “pop-up” stops to offer additional support through remote stretches, particularly at night.
The full route, as GPX tracks and route sheet, is now available. You can find all the details here: Route – London Edinburgh London.
We'll see you in just a couple of weeks!
